Happy New Year & Happy Sabbath! 2021 is going to be quite an intriguing year, to say the least. 2020 was a whirlwind for this world/people, but it's just a glimpse of what's to come.
Matthew 24:37-39.
Whether you choose to believe it or not (or even ignore it), we are living in the days of Noah. Everything happening in the world is Bible prophecies being fulfilled.
Christ will return. Whether it's a new day or new year, for me, it's one step closer to His coming. Most people always misunderstand the verse "will come as a thief in the night" as Jesus coming likely some sort of sneaky ninja to save only the good people. "Secret rapture."
No.
The Bible says in 2 Peter 3:10 [KJV] : But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens shall pass away with a GREAT NOISE, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up."
Please note I added caps, bold, and underline for emphasis. Nothing about His coming is going to be quiet.
When Christ returns, His feet do NOT touch this earth. We--those whose names are written in the Book of Life--shall be caught up with Him in the clouds.
I know for most people everything happening in this world is terrifying, but this world is just temporary. The Bible says not to store up your treasures on this earth, and we shouldn't because this is just temporary. Our citizenship is in the Kingdom of God. That New Jerusalem which will be brought to this world after it (this world) has been cleansed from sin.
John 14:2-3 [KJV]. Claim that promise.
Don't be or get distracted by these things happening on earth. Focus on God. Focus on His Word. Trust Him. Stand up for God. Stand up for Truth. Put God First.
Luke 21:28 [KJV].
Things are unfolding and we must put on the full Armour of God. False doctrines will be taught (has already been really), but study fervently and become rooted so deeply in the Bible that no one can deceive you.
Amazing Facts and Pastor Doug Batchelor will be presenting a series called "2021: Reset in the Word" and I do believe many of us need it. Plus, there is no better way than starting the new year/new day with God's Word.
Please do check the time zone for your location and definitely tune in.
Have a wonderful Sabbath!
Stay safe & God Bless.
Kindest Regards,
Mischa
