Whenever I'm doing my Korean homework and I have to make dialogues, I always use both Taemin ssi and Jimin ssi. If I'm not writing 선생님 a letter, then I'll a letter to them (in Korean.)
Note: Deciding on a tutor was tough--I watched all their videos and read their mini bio, but I decided on my 선생님 after she mentioned writing and BTS Suga. LOL. However, the writing part drew me in because I like to write--and if you've ever gotten a letter from me (not my small love notes/mini letters but letters), they're novel length. I write a lot. Even 선생님 said that. LOL!
I absolutely love and adore her--she's super awesome. Also, I definitely believe that God brought us two together. During one class, we were talking and I told her after uni my plan was to teach English in either Korea or Japan. I told her Korea was my main choice since I would be going through the church. 선생님 then mentioned she had attended a private SDA (Seventh-Day Adventist) institute to learn English. Clearly, God selected her to be my tutor before I did! LOL. Hearing that was just amazing.
Before we jump into our lesson, we go over homework. During one class, 선생님 says "Always Taemin ssi." LOL. I think in one letter I wrote (to Jimin ssi) that I'll have to remind 선생님 I have two adopted baby brothers. In another one of our classes, I was trying to form a sentence and I'm trying to think of a name--so I happened to look at Taemin ssi photo and I just used his name as an example. My 선생님 then says "What about Jimin ssi?" I was completely caught off guard. LOL. She cracked me up. It was funny.
Now, for those that don't know both Taemin ssi and Jimin ssi are Korean singers. Probably some of you will know Jimin ssi since BTS is pretty famous globally. I absolutely adore and love them both---they're my adopted baby brothers. Of course, they don't know they got a super cute, adorable, and totally awesome Guyanese sister as yet. LOL. I crack myself up. No. but seriously, home skills, I am too cute and awesome not to know.
In all seriousness though, both of them are beyond talented and just amazing. One thing I'd like to see them do either individually (even together as a collab) or in their groups, is sing Gospel songs. As I said before, I'm on the hunt for Korean Christian singers and/or groups. I would love to see them take on that challenge--plus, with their huge platform, they can draw many people to Jesus.
Note: Elvis Presley. You lot know I'm an oldies junkie. Elvis--out of all his songs and what not--he enjoyed singing Gospel songs. AND home skills recognized Jesus as the ONLY king (there's this clip where he was on a show or a concert and a fan had a sign saying he was the king. Elvis then said he appreciated that but Jesus is the only king. See, now I'm gonna have to do a blog post on Elvis *adds to topic*)
Another reason why I wanted to do a blog post on Taemin ssi and Jimin ssi is that they're both inspirations for my character Yoon Jae in Wicked Game/Space Girl. Yoon Jae is the Bestie of the main character. He is perhaps my fave character--home skills loves food, loves to dance, and he's overall totally awesome. He's a fun character to write and I hope readers fall in love with him.

In regards to Wicked Game/Space Girl, a separate blog post coming soon! BUT! I'm aiming for a February deadline in having this story completed, revised, etc. I would like to participate in the next PitMad that's coming in March. Keep it in prayer!
