I'm sitting here thinking if I've ever entered a writing contest before. I don't believe I have. Well, I decided to enter into WattPad's #InstaxStillstoLife writing contest. I'm still navigating through WattPad and discovering all its features.
They have many opportunities for writers. After browsing through the various writing contests listed (some were closed already), I never really considered myself submitting or entering anything. My primary goal on WattPad was just to share the stories I've written.
However, it was only last night I thought: why not just enter the contest for fun? Plus, could be another way to boost my readership and have people check out my current works on WattPad.
So, I submitted my entry today, which is titled "Captured Memories." (Click on the title to be taken to the story.)
It's actually a small section from a chapter in A Starry Night in Paris. I reworked it to mesh with the book cover I created. I imagine that's how Naina would've been during her youth since she lives and breathes photography.
